Polish home cooks streamline vegetable prep with fast trimming and batter‑fried zucchini

A Polish kitchen tip shows how to trim large batches of asparagus beans in seconds by pulling a handful of pods, aligning the stems on a cutting board and slicing off multiple ends with a single knife motion. The method requires only a sharp knife and a board, eliminates the need to handle each pod individually, and halves the time needed for preparing several kilograms of beans.

Another recipe advises replacing traditional potato pancakes with thin zucchini slices coated in a simple two‑ingredient batter (water and flour) and fried until crisp. The dish can be seasoned with salt, pepper, herbs or chili, and is served with dips, sauces or alongside stews. Both suggestions emphasize speed, minimal equipment and the ability to prepare larger quantities for meals or freezing.
