Polish hospitals expand long-term care capacity via KPO funding
Healthcare facilities in Poland are expanding long-term care capacity through significant investments funded largely by the National Recovery Plan (KPO).
In Głogówek, the Care and Treatment Center (ZOL) under the Prudnickie Centrum Medyczne S.A. has added 13 new beds following the modernization of its attic, park, and courtyard. The project cost over 3.2 million PLN from KPO funds and 500,000 PLN from the Prudnik County budget.
In Inowrocław, the Dr. Ludwik Błażek Multi-specialty Hospital is launching a new ZOL on September 1st. Located on the fourth floor, the unit was created as part of an internal medicine ward modernization costing over 7.2 million PLN, with approximately 5.94 million PLN provided by the KPO. The facility aims to serve patients who no longer require acute hospitalization but need continuous nursing care and assistance with daily activities.
