Polish hospitals host educational open days for expectant parents
Hospitals in Poland are hosting educational events and open days to prepare expectant parents for childbirth.
In Kielce, the Świętokrzyskie Centrum Matki i Noworodka held an open day where over one hundred future parents learned about pain management techniques, including epidurals and non-pharmacological methods like aromatherapy. The facility highlighted its specialized staff and modern equipment, such as new birthing beds, to demonstrate its capacity to provide professional care for both mothers and fathers.
Additionally, in Hrubieszów, the local hospital is organizing a ‘Dignified Childbirth Week’ from October 19 to 25, 2026. The initiative includes open days at the maternity and neonatal wards, allowing visitors to tour the facilities and undergo basic health monitoring like KTG tests. An educational meeting will also be held at the District Starosty in Hrubieszów, covering topics such as pregnancy testing, natural childbirth, skin-to-skin contact, and breastfeeding.
