Polish hospitals introduce new amenities for pediatric patients

New facilities and spaces have been established to improve the experience of pediatric patients and their families in Polish hospitals.

In Łódź, the Biegański Hospital received 28 modern, adjustable armchairs donated by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). These chairs are intended for parents accompanying children in the Infectious Diseases and Dermatology wards, allowing them to rest or sleep during long periods of care.

In Kraków, the University Children's Hospital has opened a second sensory garden specifically designed for children in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Clinic. Funded by the Urtica Foundation for Children, the space features sensory paths, specialized benches, integration boards, and over 200 plants to provide a therapeutic environment for young patients during treatment.
