Polish hospitals receive funding for medical upgrades

Several Polish hospitals are receiving significant funding to modernize medical infrastructure and emergency services.

In Tarnobrzeg, the Wojewódzki Szpital im. Zofii z Zamoyskich Tarnowskiej has invested over 2 million PLN, funded by the KPO, to upgrade its cardiology and internal medicine departments. The new equipment includes cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, a portable echocardiograph, and a system for stress tests, aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy and patient monitoring.

In Bochnia, the Szpital Powiatowy is set to receive approximately 5 million PLN to modernize its hospital landing pad, bringing the total support for the project to over 8.6 million PLN. The upgrade will increase the pad's load capacity and surface area, allowing it to accommodate modern 6-ton Air Ambulance (LPR) helicopters as well as heavier aircraft used by the military, police, and Border Guard during crisis situations.
