Polish hospitals renovate wards and secure obstetrics unit operation

The Jastrzębie-Zdrój hospital completed a major renovation of its gynecology‑obstetrics, cardiology, surgery, oncology and urology departments. The overhaul, costing about 60 million PLN—56 million of which was provided by the regional Marshal’s Office—added new walls, floors, climate‑control systems and advanced equipment, including a robotic system. Director Robert Ostrowski said, “Now we can enjoy completely new departments.”

In Wodzisław Śląski, the county hospital avoided a planned suspension of its obstetrics‑gynecology ward after assembling a full medical team. Hospital management announced that the unit will operate normally throughout August, ensuring continuity of deliveries, maternal care and related procedures.
