Polish hospitals undergo accessibility and diagnostic upgrades

Polish hospitals in Rybnik and Toruń are undergoing significant infrastructure upgrades to improve patient accessibility and diagnostic capabilities.

Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny nr 3 in Rybnik has completed renovations totaling nearly 178,000 PLN. The works focused on removing architectural barriers in the hospital parking lot, lowering curbs, and installing safety bollards to assist patients with wheelchairs and strollers. Additionally, clinic bathrooms were renovated to meet the needs of individuals with limited mobility.

In Toruń, the Specjalistyczny Szpital Miejski is launching a modernization project for nine outpatient clinics valued at over 5.5 million PLN. Funded by the city and European funds, the investment includes new diagnostic equipment, upgraded treatment rooms, and the installation of a new elevator accessible to people with disabilities. The project aims to address the region's changing demographic needs, specifically the growing elderly population.
