Polish industrial sectors face investment uncertainty and labor shortages

The Polish industrial and construction sectors are facing significant challenges characterized by high volatility and uncertainty. In the construction industry, companies report a lack of continuity in investment plans and unpredictable administrative processes. Bureaucracy and the lack of clear timelines for project implementation make it difficult for firms to plan production capacities, staffing, and raw material purchases.

Simultaneously, the welding industry is grappling with a severe shortage of skilled welders. At the ExpoWELDING trade fair in Katowice, industry representatives highlighted that companies are increasingly turning to robotization and digitalization to remain competitive against lower-priced Asian manufacturers. While automation was previously reserved for large-scale production, new technologies are now being adapted for small and medium-sized enterprises to manage non-serial production and optimize available resources.
