Polish initiatives focus on youth mental health and addiction prevention
Various initiatives in Poland are focusing on the well-being and development of young people through education and community engagement.
In Opole, the University of Opole, addiction treatment facilities, and cultural institutions are organizing a conference to address the challenges of transitioning into adulthood. The event aims to bring together experts, psychologists, educators, and students to discuss topics such as mental health, educational pressure, neurodiversity, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the younger generation.
In Gostyń, the second edition of the “Wybieram mądrze” (I Choose Wisely) prevention game was held. This urban game involved primary school teams competing in tasks designed to raise awareness about addiction prevention, physical and mental health, safety, and healthy interpersonal relationships. The event was organized by several local institutions, including the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol Problems and the Gostyń Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center.
