Polish internationals Frankowski and Linetty face club and national team setbacks

Przemysław Frankowski, a 31‑year‑old midfielder with 51 caps for Poland, has been omitted from Jan Urban's squad since October 2023 after a period of injuries and rehabilitation. In a recent interview he said he is now fully fit, hopes his performances for Stade Rennes will earn him a recall, and remains in contact with the national team staff.

Karol Linetty, also 31 and a former Poland regular with 47 appearances, became a free agent after his contract with Turkish club Kocaelispor was terminated by mutual agreement. The split followed a dispute over his salary and playing time; the club and player reached a settlement, leaving Linetty without a club and potentially looking to return to the Polish league.
