Polish journalists Grażyna Bukowska and Grażyna Torbicka reflect on careers and aging
Prominent Polish journalists Grażyna Bukowska and Grażyna Torbicka have recently drawn attention for their career reflections and perspectives on aging.
Grażyna Bukowska, a former presenter for TVP1’s “Wiadomości” and a veteran of Polish television since 1979, transitioned into public relations and management after leaving Telewizja Polska in 2001. She cited increasing political pressure within the public broadcaster as a primary reason for her departure. Following her television career, she managed communications for large firms and briefly led Discovery TVN Historia.
Grażyna Torbicka, a well-known figure in Polish journalism and film studies, recently addressed the societal tendency to judge women based on their physical appearance. In a podcast interview, Torbicka emphasized that while aging is an inevitable natural process, it does not diminish a woman’s value or grace. She noted that wrinkles are a natural part of life and expressed a desire to embrace change rather than chase eternal youth.
