Polish junior athletes collect numerous medals at regional track meets
Sprinters from Kolbuszowa demonstrated strong form despite headwinds, with Magda Niemczyk recording 11.47 seconds in the 100 m and 17.32 seconds in the 150 m, missing the national record by just 0.08 seconds. The club UKS Tiki‑Taka also secured podium finishes across hurdles, middle‑distance and obstacle events at the U18 Subcarpathian Championships in Stalowa Wola.
In Kędzierzyn‑Koźle, young athletes from MMKS dominated the Opole provincial championships, earning eleven medals. Gabriela Wachulec won gold in the shot put, Tymoteusz Brzoska in the javelin, and Łucja Smaga in the hammer throw, while Brzoska added a silver in the 110 m hurdles. Additional medals were claimed in discus, hammer, long jump, high jump, and sprint events, with several athletes setting personal bests and national‑level rankings.
Both towns highlighted the depth of talent in Polish youth athletics, showcasing strong performances across a range of track and field disciplines.
