Polish karate clubs collect medals at national championships and Grand Prix

The Polish Contact Karate Championships were held on 25 April 2026 in Kościerzyna, featuring more than 600 athletes from 88 clubs. The event marked the first joint competition of the Polish Contact Karate Association, Oyama Karate and Kenbukai, raising the level of play. Competitors from the local Kościerzyna Karate Club earned podium finishes, with Kinga Żywicka and Wiktor Gliszczyński each taking gold medals and Ignacy Sosnowski winning bronze.

The XIII Grand Prix Tczew Karate WKF took place on 9–10 May 2026 in Tczew, drawing 643 participants representing 73 clubs. The Pleszew Karate Club secured eight medals, including two golds: Alicja Fabisz in the U8 girls kumite (‑25 kg) and Maciej Nowakowski in the U12 boys kumite (‑30 kg). The club also added silver and bronze medals across junior age categories, highlighting its strong performance at the national-level tournament.
