Polish karate clubs win medals at national and Austrian tournaments

At the Polish Karate Kyokushin Championships in Mińsk Mazowiecki on 20 June, the Nowy Targ‑based SSK Yokozuna team captured six medals – one gold, two silvers and three bronzes. Jan Kamiński earned a bronze in kata, while brothers Bartłomiej and Patryk Wójciak each secured a silver and a bronze in kata and kumite categories. Patryk also added a silver in kumite, and the trio’s overall performance highlighted the club’s strong standing in national competition.

On the same day, the Ostrołęka Karate Kyokushin Club competed at the Austrian Open in Vienna, where five Polish athletes earned four medals. Mateusz Ochenkowski won gold in the junior kumite‑60 kg division, Julita Sęk took silver in the open‑women’s kumite and a bronze in the women’s 65 kg class, and Mateusz Mostył claimed silver in junior kumite‑65 kg. The results demonstrated the high level of training and international competitiveness of Polish Kyokushin karate clubs.
