Polish kayak events celebrate local Spartakiada finish and 60th national “Trzy Zapory” race

On 3 July 2026 a kayak race in Łęgi Ręczyńskie marked the conclusion of the Piotrków County Spartakiada of Local Government. The event featured a ceremonial summary of the year‑long competition, with the team from Gmina Łęki Szlacheckie placing seventh in the overall classification. The local mayor, Grażyna Lasek, praised the athletes for their dedication and promoted the gmina’s sporting spirit.

Earlier, police from the Gilowice precinct provided water‑patrol security for the 60th edition of the nationwide “Trzy Zapory” kayak race on the Soła river in Żywiec County. Over 200 participants navigated stages from Żywiec to Porąbka, passing the Żywiec and Międzybrodzie lakes. The event, organized by TKKF Motor Andrychów, is part of the Polish Kayak Association’s Grand Prix series. Officers monitored conditions and ensured safety throughout the river stretch.
