Polish libraries host Library Night events in Wieluń and Wrocław
Various public libraries across Poland are preparing for the 12th edition of Library Night on October 16. The event features diverse programming designed to engage different age groups through literature, history, and interactive activities.
In Wieluń, the Municipal and Communal Public Library will host a lecture by Bartosz Janicki regarding the 100th anniversary of the Kalety Podzamcze–Wieluń railway line, accompanied by miniature train presentations. The evening will also include a literary event focused on Irish literature, featuring theater and music performances based on works such as Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’.
In Wrocław, the Tadeusz Różewicz Municipal Public Library is organizing events including an escape room themed around Slavic legends and overnight stays for children between the bookshelves. The program also features author meetings with crime and fantasy writer Anna Kańtoch and prose author Maciej Sieńczyk.
