Polish libraries launch community and outdoor reading initiatives

In Poland, local libraries are engaging in diverse community-focused initiatives. In Suwałki, the M. Konopnicka Public Library organized volunteer actions to maintain the historic cemetery on Bakałarzewska and Grunwaldzka streets. Participants, including youth and members of the Association of Friends of Suwałki Region, cleaned and tended to 25 graves of significant local figures, such as veterans, doctors, teachers, and poets.

Meanwhile, in Debrzno, the local library has launched a Summer Reading space by Lake Żuczek. This outdoor initiative provides residents and tourists with free access to books, magazines, and newspapers in a recreational setting. The project was implemented on a small budget to promote reading as a natural part of summer leisure activities.
