Polish libraries organize summer outdoor book and movie events for children

The Provincial and Municipal Public Library in Rzeszów is running a summer series called “Książka w plenerze” on the city’s riverfront promenade. The free program, running from June through September, includes author meetings, theatrical shows, reading sessions, workshops and games for children. Specific events scheduled for July are a craft workshop for ages 4‑10 on 22 July, an author meet‑and‑greet with children’s writer Pan Poeta on 23 July, and a “Bajkowe karty” visual‑theatre workshop on 29 July.

In the town of Czerwin, the municipal public library staged an outdoor cinema “Kino pod chmurką” on 18 July at the “Mój rynek” market. Attendees brought blankets and watched the animated film “Cat in Boots” under the open sky. Local women’s circles provided free popcorn, granita and traditional compote for the audience, creating a community‑focused summer evening.
