Polish libraries receive funding to expand book collections

The Książnica Stargardzka library was awarded 17,560 zł from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the National Library Programme. The grant will be used to purchase new printed titles as well as e‑books, audiobooks and synchro‑books for children, youth and adult readers.

In Warsaw’s Białołęka district, the Wypożyczalnia nr 69 added a range of large‑font books from the “Wielkie Litery” series, financed by the district’s Citizens’ Budget. The collection includes thrillers, romance, adventure and other genres, with titles such as “Słoneczne tarasy”, “Zdeptane nadzieje”, “Lek po mojemu” and “Wiatr od morza”. The new books aim to improve accessibility for readers who need larger lettering.

Both initiatives expand local library offerings and increase access to printed and digital reading material for the community.
