Polish literary market sees new book release and digital platform launch

The Polish literary market is seeing new developments in both fiction and digital distribution. Author Aldona Kucner is set to release her crime novel, ‘W zasięgu śmierci’, on September 23. The book introduces the first installment of the Gizela Sikora series, following Commissioner Gizela Sikora as she investigates the suspicious death of a popular YouTuber in Wrocław.

In the digital space, a new Polish platform for audiobooks and e-books called Novelist launched on September 3. The service is a collaborative effort between eight major Polish publishing houses: Muza, Prószyński, Rebis, Media Rodzina, Znak, Zysk, Dressler, and Publicat. Unlike traditional digital libraries, Novelist focuses on emotional curation and human recommendations to help users find stories based on how they want to feel, rather than just searching through vast catalogs.
