Polish Local Authorities Boost Civil Protection and Fire Brigade Integration

On 6 August, the Dzierżoniowski County Crisis Management Team met at the county office, chaired by Starosta Grzegorz Kosowski. The session, attended by MP Marek Chmielewski and local mayors and officials, reviewed civil‑protection tasks, recent alarm‑system training exercises, and plans to integrate the county’s warning devices with the Central Alarm and Warning System (SOiA). Participants discussed technical performance, local hazards and future upgrades.

Also on 6 August, the volunteer fire brigade OSP Konopnica held a meeting at the municipal office to sign an agreement joining the National Rescue and Firefighting System (KSRG). Representatives included the city commander of the State Fire Service in Lublin, Brigadier Paweł Kasperek, and the gmina wójt. The integration will give the brigade access to advanced training, resources and coordinated response capabilities, strengthening emergency protection for the Konopnica community.
