Polish local government delegations conduct official visits to Pniewy and Cacica

Delegations from Polish local government units conducted official visits to partner municipalities in Poland and Romania to strengthen regional ties and exchange experiences.

Representatives from the Kościerzyna Commune, including Mayor Grzegorz Piechowski, visited the municipality of Pniewy from October 21–23. The program included visits to the Sanctuary of St. Ursula Ledóchowska, a meeting with Pniewy Mayor Jarosław Szurek and City Council Chairman Paweł Prętki, and a tour of the Postęp Sp. z o.o. furniture manufacturing company. The group also visited the ‘Stacja Nojewo’ railway museum.

A delegation from the Rybnik District, led by Starost Damian Mrowiec, visited the partner municipality of Cacica in Romania between October 21–23. The visit focused on reinforcing a 25-year partnership and included meetings with Suceava regional authorities, including Vice-Chairman Nicolae Robu and Administrator Cezar Ioja, as well as Cacica Mayor Dinu Radu Ciuc. The delegation met with the local Polish minority and visited a monument to Pope John Paul II, which serves as a symbol of the connection between Poland and the Polish community in Romania.
