Polish lower‑league clubs Zagłębie Sosnowiec reserves and Olimpia Kamienna Góra start new season
Zagłębie Sosnowiec’s reserve team (Zagłębie II) opened its V‑League campaign on 8 August 2026 with a home match against Zieloni Żarki at the artificial pitch of Stadion Ludowy. The side, which finished third in the previous season, entered the campaign under new head coach Michal Farkaš, who replaced Grzegorz Bąk. Three former first‑team players – Kamil Biliński, Marcin Sierczyński and Filip Karbowy – joined the squad, bringing the total roster to 42 players, 14 of whom are also eligible for the first team. The club’s schedule lists further fixtures against AKS Mikołów, Odra Miasteczko Śląskie, CKS Czeladź and others through September.
In the Jelenia Góra district, clubs resumed the class‑O competition after the summer break. Olimpia Kamienna Góra hosted Apis Jędrzychowice in the opening match on 8 August, with coach Łukasz Bieńkowski overseeing a refreshed roster that added eight new players while four left. Other clubs slated to play include Orzeł Wojcieszów, Stella Lubomierz, Górnik Węgliniec and Chrobry Nowogrodziec, with matches scheduled throughout the weekend of 8‑9 August.
