For instance, a liter of extra virgin olive oil on Allegro is priced at 22.90 PLN, whereas similar products at Biedronka retail for nearly double that amount per liter.

Separately, small-scale grain procurement companies in Poland are calling for better financial support. Local businesses, particularly in the Mazovia region, argue they are essential infrastructure for the agricultural market, helping small farms manage grain without their own storage or transport. These companies are requesting access to preferential financing for drying, cleaning, and storing grain to offset high operational costs, rather than seeking direct subsidies.
