Poland expands first‑aid training programs and highlights medical rescue competition

In several Polish regions, free first‑aid training sessions are being organized under the National First‑Aid Training program of the Academy of Civil Protection and Defense. In Brzeskie County, events are scheduled in the municipalities of Szczurowa, Iwkowa and Borzęcin, offering practical instruction on CPR, AED use and emergency response. A separate session takes place in Pabianice on June 20 at the local sports complex, also covering scene safety, 112 emergency calls, and basic life‑saving techniques.

Meanwhile, a team of medical rescuers from Żywiec, Bartłomiej Sikora and Kacper Roczyna, secured third place at the Regional Championships in Medical Rescue, earning a special award for the "Barrel" task. The competition tested rapid decision‑making, teamwork and advanced rescue skills, illustrating the high level of preparation among Poland's emergency responders.

These activities aim to improve public safety awareness and enhance the capabilities of both citizens and professional rescuers across the country.
