Polish metal bands GRÓB and backbone release new music
The Wrocław-based metal project GRÓB has released its long-awaited debut full-length album, titled ‘Ikonoklasta’. Formed in 2019 by Necromaniak and Death Dealer, the band blends thrash, death, and doom metal with punk and rock’n’roll influences. The album’s lyrical themes explore dark chapters of Polish history, social issues such as drug subcultures, and the horrors of armed conflict.
Additionally, the Warsaw-based band backbone has released its second concept album, ‘Ama Nesciri’. The music features a blend of post, doom, and atmospheric metal, following the spiritual journey of a character known as the Mystic. The album includes guest appearances by Kacper Kajzderski, Krzysztof Traczyk, Barbara Kowalska, Alina Kowalik, and Anna Gębala. backbone is also currently preparing for the fifth edition of its Blood&Bone festival, which raises funds to support bone cancer patients.
