Polish military officer arrested at General Staff

Military Gendarmerie officers conducted a search at the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces in Warsaw, resulting in the arrest of an officer. The individual is suspected of possessing and distributing prohibited pedophilic content involving children.

The investigation was the result of several months of surveillance by operational services. While the officer's specific rank and department have not been publicly disclosed, Colonel Marek Pietrzak, spokesperson for the General Staff, confirmed that the arrest and search were carried out in full cooperation with military services.

A request for the officer's arrest has been submitted to the court. Experts have noted that such activities could potentially leave the officer vulnerable to blackmail or manipulation by foreign intelligence services.
