Polish military police seize over 3 kg of drugs, arrest soldier and two civilians

The Mazowiecki Unit of the Polish Military Police (Żandarmeria Wojskowa) carried out a coordinated operation on 29 July 2026 that resulted in the arrest of a senior corporal from the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade and two civilian suspects. The arrests took place in Marki, near the M1 shopping centre, in the nearby town of Ząbki, and later in the Świętokrzyskie region.

During the raids more than 2 kg of marijuana and about 1.5 kg of mefedron/klefedoron were seized, along with cash exceeding 320,000 zł and roughly 3,750 euros. Prosecutors allege the soldier sold marijuana dozens of times, using the proceeds as a “steady source of income,” and have requested a three‑month pre‑trial detention for him. The other two detainees, both civilians, face charges of possession of large quantities of narcotics and drug‑trafficking under article 62(2) of the Polish anti‑narcotics law.
