Polish military prepares to replace Pantera camouflage

The Polish Armed Forces are nearing the implementation of a new camouflage pattern intended to replace the long-standing wz. 93 ‘Pantera’ and ‘Pantera M’ designs. The new pattern, developed by the Military Research and Development Centre for Uniformed Services, has completed multi-season field testing at the Nowa Dęba training ground.

Testing involved various personnel, including commandos, snipers, and marksmen, to evaluate the pattern's effectiveness in obscuring silhouettes across different lighting and vegetation conditions during autumn, spring, and summer. While the specific visual details and color schemes of the new design remain confidential, the project is currently awaiting final approval from the Ministry of National Defence leadership.

The transition to the new camouflage will be a gradual process. Once approved, it is expected to become standard equipment, though special forces and Navy training uniforms may follow different protocols. This change is part of a broader modernization effort of individual soldier equipment, which includes the development of the Perun armor and the procurement of new GROT A3 rifles.
