Łódź aquapark: 7‑year‑old boy drowns, investigation launched
On 27 July 2026 a 7‑year‑old boy began to drown during a swimming lesson at Aquapark Fala in Łódź. He was not seen by lifeguards or the swimming instructor and remained underwater for about six minutes. A bystander, identified only as Mieczysław, noticed the child at the bottom of the pool and pulled him out; emergency teams revived him, but he remains in a pharmacological coma.
