Polish motorsport highlights: Piotr Pawlicki's podium finish and endurance pole at Poznań
Piotr Pawlicki, a 31‑year‑old rider from Unia Leszno, finished second in the Polish Individual Speedway Championship, scoring 14 points in the first round and staying on the podium despite a left‑ankle injury. He said he feels better on the bike than off it and credited a carbon insole in his boot for easing the pain.
At the Poznań circuit, Przemysław Bieńkowski and Mateusz Lisowski secured pole position for the opening round of the 2026 Polish Endurance Championship, posting a 1:44.602 lap in their Mercedes‑AMG GT3. Their fast start was followed by a tightly‑contested field, including Jacek Zielonka and Tomasz Dyszkiewicz in a Ligier LMP3 and several Porsche, Audi and other GT entries filling the top ten.
