Polish municipal councils hold extraordinary sessions on budgets and infrastructure

Local government councils in Poland held extraordinary sessions to address budgetary and infrastructure matters.

In Kowala, the municipal council scheduled a session for August 17, 2026, to discuss several resolutions. Key agenda items include granting transmission easements to PGE Dystrybucja S.A. and Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o. for specific land plots. The council also planned to discuss an inter-municipal agreement with Wolanów regarding public transport organization, as well as amendments to the 2026 budget and the multi-year financial forecast for 2026–2030.

In Nakło nad Notecią, an extraordinary session was held on August 12, 2026, to amend the 2026 budget and the long-term financial forecast through 2053. The council increased capital expenditure by 369,535.00 PLN to fund the modernization of an Orlik 2012 sports field following higher-than-expected tender bids. Additionally, Mayor Sławomir Napierala reported on a resolved crisis involving the temporary shutdown of hot water supplies to buildings managed by SM Chrobry by the Bydgoszcz-based Komunalne Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej.
