Polish municipal fraudsters pose as officials in Krotoszyn County

Police have warned residents of Krotoszyn County that organized groups are visiting homes and claiming to be municipal employees. The scammers present themselves as representatives of local subsidy programmes, offering sales and installation of boilers, photovoltaic panels and energy‑storage systems while urging victims to sign contracts immediately to secure high‑value grants.

The municipalities of Krotoszyn, Kobylin and Rozdrażew have all issued alerts, confirming that no municipal staff conduct door‑to‑door sales or sign‑up visits. Officials state that their employees only contact applicants who have previously filed grant requests and never collect fees or pressure residents. The warnings advise citizens to verify any offers with the appropriate offices before signing any documents.
