Andrzej Duda criticizes PiS and Rozwój Plus political split
Former President Andrzej Duda has commented on the growing political rift within the Polish right wing, specifically the split between Law and Justice (PiS) and the newly formed Rozwój Plus group. Speaking at the Economic Forum in Karpacz, Duda described the public disputes between former allies as 'somewhat saddening' and 'somewhat shocking.'
Duda, who clarified that he remains unaffiliated with any political party, expressed hope for a future reunification of the right. He suggested that while the current division is painful, a new unified movement could eventually emerge under a name representing patriotic or traditional values.
The political landscape is further shifting as Rozwój Plus, an association founded by Mateusz Morawiecki and his associates, gains traction. Marek Jakubiak, a member of Rozwój Plus, indicated that the group is open to potential coalitions with right-wing entities, including Konfederacja Korony Polskiej, while explicitly ruling out cooperation with Koalicja Obywatelska.
