Polish municipalities approve renovation contracts for community centre and heritage chapel
The Gmina Kobylin signed a contract with Jan-BUD to renovate the village community centre in Starkówc, including an exterior and interior refurbishment and the construction of a new recreational shelter. The project, funded partly by the Greater Poland Voivodeship, is scheduled for completion by 30 October 2026 at a cost of 175,284.37 zł.
In the Kościerzyna County, the Powiat council granted a 50,000 zł subsidy to the Roman Catholic Parish of St Nicholas in Wielu for the roof renovation of the Chapel of the Calvary of Wielewska. The work, ordered after an inspection warned of possible collapse, will replace the roof covering, metalwork, trusses and other structural elements, with a deadline of 30 November 2026.
Both projects aim to preserve local cultural assets and improve community facilities in their respective regions of Poland.
