Polish municipalities fund school cafeteria and sidewalk upgrades

In the Gmina of Radomyśl Wielki, five primary schools will receive a total of 500,000 zł to modernise their canteens under the national "Meal at School and Home" programme for 2024‑2028. Each school gets 80,000 zł in grant funding (covering 80% of costs) and must contribute 20,000 zł of its own resources, allowing new kitchen equipment, improved preparation areas and safer dining spaces.

In Wrocław, a 200‑metre stretch of the sidewalk on ul. Niedźwiedzia adjacent to a preschool and primary school has been rebuilt. The old mixed surface of asphalt, uneven cobbles and concrete slabs was replaced with a uniform paving, new curbs, manhole covers and drainage, funded through the city’s neighbourhood fund. The works aim to enhance pedestrian safety and aesthetics for the local community.
