Polish municipalities launch 2026 agricultural financial assistance programs

The mayor of Szadek announced that agricultural producers must submit applications for an excise‑tax refund on diesel used in farming between 3 August and 31 August 2026. The refund rate is set at 1.48 zł per litre, with limits based on land area, livestock numbers and other factors. Applicants must attach qualifying invoices, including visualised KSeF invoices containing a unique 35‑character number and QR code; simplified receipts or QR‑only confirmations are not accepted.

The municipal office in Tarnogród introduced an electronic system for reporting agricultural losses caused by drought. From 1 July to 15 October 2026, eligible farmers can file claims through the “Report Agricultural Damage” app, provided they have previously applied for direct payments for 2026 and sign the submission with a Trusted Profile. The deadline and verification procedures follow guidelines from the National Drought Monitoring System operated by IUNG‑PIB in Puławy.
