Polish municipalities launch heat‑damage reporting scheme for farms

The municipalities of Stare Babice and Pacyna in the Mazowieckie region of Poland have opened a call for farmers to report crop losses caused by unusually high temperatures. Eligible crops include berries such as raspberries, blackberries, currants, blueberries, strawberries and cranberries, as well as vegetables like onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, beans and peas.

The aim is to gather data on the scale of the damage for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Submissions are for information only and do not constitute an assessment of compensation. Farmers can file reports online via the ePUAP platform or by paper at the respective municipal offices. The deadline is 31 July 2026 for Stare Babice and 22 July 2026 for Pacyna.
