Polish municipalities launch major water supply and storm‑water projects

The Gmina of Morawica in southern Poland is allocating several million zlotys to increase the resilience of its water supply. Planned works include new underground water intakes at Bilcz and Dębską Woli, construction of additional storage tanks, expansion of water mains and upgrades to existing pump stations. A large‑scale modernisation of the sewage treatment plant in Brzezinach is also scheduled for 2026‑2028, with an expected cost of about 18 million zł.

At the same time, the town of Jasło will build a rain‑water drainage collector and redevelop the surrounding area in the Sobniów estate. The 2 million zł project will create permeable surfaces, new greenery, upgraded walkways and small‑scale street furniture, improving flood mitigation and urban aesthetics. Funding comes from the EU’s Eastern Poland programme and the works are slated for completion by October 2026.
