Polish municipalities Powidz and Stalowa Wola rank second in investment spending
Several Polish municipalities have been recognized in the ‘Inwestycje Samorządów 2026’ ranking, published by the journal Pismo Samorządu Terytorialnego ‘Wspólnota’. The ranking evaluates capital expenditures made by local governments between 2023 and 2025, focusing on the average expenditure per inhabitant to provide a clear picture of investment scale.
Gmina Powidz secured second place among rural municipalities in Poland, marking its third consecutive year in the runner-up position. The award was presented during the Local Government Capital and Finance Forum in Katowice.
In the category of county towns, Stalowa Wola also achieved second place for its investment spending. Mayor Lucjusz Nadbereżny attributed the city's dynamic development to the efforts of municipal teams in securing and implementing funds.
