Polish municipalities prepare schools for new academic year
Schools in the Miejsce Piastowe and Przemęt municipalities in Poland have prepared for the start of the new academic year following summer breaks and various local investments.
In Miejsce Piastowe, extensive renovations were completed across several primary schools, including Głowienka, Wrocanka, Zalesie, Rogi, and Łężany. Improvements include new flooring in classrooms and staff rooms, repainted walls, and modernized computer labs equipped with interactive boards, laptops, and tablets. In Łężany, a new air-conditioned gymnasium was constructed, featuring a new roof with photovoltaic panels and a new facade, alongside a replaced heating system. Additionally, new playgrounds were installed in Głowienka and Targowiska.
In the Przemęt municipality, formal ceremonies were held on September 1 to inaugurate the 2026/2027 school year. The celebrations marked the return of students to existing classrooms and the first steps for new students entering kindergartens and first grade. Local officials, including Mayor Janusz Frąckowiak, attended ceremonies to offer encouragement to students and educators for the upcoming academic term.
