Polish museums roll out summer learning activities for children

The Museum of the Tarnów Region (Muzeum Ziemi Tarnowskiej) organised a series of interactive summer workshops for children and teenagers. Sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays let participants explore life in the Polish People’s Republic, World‑War II memorabilia, and national symbols through games, physical exercises and craft projects, including creating a personal mascot.

In Pabianice, the local museum offered a similar programme focused on the Iron Age and Celtic culture. Children examined a 2,000‑year‑old Celtic helmet, compared it with Roman armor, learned about ancient burial rites, and built paper models of helmets as a hands‑on assignment. Both initiatives aim to teach history through play and creative activities.

The programmes run throughout July and August, with dates scheduled for late July and early August, and require prior registration.
