Polish musicians receive honors at Belweder and Bydgoszcz
In Poland, several prominent musical figures have received significant recognition for their contributions to culture. At a ceremony held in the Belweder, musician and cultural organizer Robert Grudzień was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for his achievements in promoting Polish history and culture. Grudzień, a pianist, composer, and conductor with deep ties to the Łowicz and Gostynin counties, was honored alongside vocalist Krystyna Prońko.
In Bydgoszcz, celebrations for International Music Day included an awards ceremony at the Municipal Cultural Center. Deputy Mayor Iwona Waszkiewicz presented awards to various soloists, instrumentalists, and educators. The event highlighted Bydgoszcz’s status as a UNESCO Creative City of Music, noting the city's robust musical infrastructure, including the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music and institutions such as Opera Nova and the Pomeranian Philharmonic.
