Polish 'Odyseja' Festival Launches in Pleszew and Poznań

From 21 July 2026, the national travel festival “Odyseja Antonińska 2026” held a prologue in Pleszew. Seventeen regional libraries hosted author and traveller Janek Wojtkowski, alongside journalists, writers and explorers, who presented journeys along lesser‑known routes such as the Karakorum Highway and historic Silk‑Road paths. The event was organised by local libraries, municipalities and partners, including the Pleszew book‑center.

Two days later, on 25‑26 July 2026, Poznań hosted the second edition of “Odyseja Poznańska – Podróż przez wieki” at the Schron Piechoty. The programme featured lectures on Homer’s Odyssey, presentations on historical costumes, martial arts, comic art and a game titled “Become a Little Odysseus”. Attendees also explored cultural topics ranging from Balkan music to medieval sounds and historic Polish soldier biographies.
