Polish orchestras announce new artistic seasons

Several Polish musical institutions have announced their upcoming artistic seasons. In Szczecin, the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra (BNO) is set to launch its 2026/2027 season on September 11 with a concert titled ‘Port dźwięków’. The program features Baroque works by Arcangelo Corelli and Antonio Vivaldi alongside contemporary pieces, including a commissioned work by Mikołaj Majkusiak and the premiere of Szymon Brzóski’s ‘Concerto’, performed by soloist Barbara Drazkov.

In Olsztyn, the Warmińsko-Mazurska Philharmonic has unveiled plans for its 81st season under the theme ‘Poruszamy światy’ (Moving Worlds). The announcement follows a record-breaking 80th anniversary season, which saw over 130,000 attendees and nearly 4 million PLN in self-generated revenue. The upcoming season will include classical and contemporary music, jazz, and youth-oriented programming, with a major mystery event scheduled for April 24.
