Polish organizations receive Kariatydy Czytelnictwa awards
Several Polish organizations have been honored with the Kariatydy Czytelnictwa awards at the National Library in Warsaw for their contributions to promoting reading and literacy.
Poczta Polska received recognition for its diverse initiatives to increase book accessibility. The company utilizes its extensive network of postal branches to reach areas with limited access to bookstores and cultural events. Its efforts include collaborations with the Universal Reading Organization, such as the ‘Czytaj. Serio’ and ‘Tata też czyta’ campaigns, as well as organizing author meetings through its ‘Placówka Kultura’ project.
The District Labor Office in Zabrze (Powiatowy Urząd Pracy w Zabrzu) was awarded the Kariatydy Czytelnictwa in the ‘Institution’ category. The award recognizes the office's collaboration with the Municipal Public Library in Zabrze, which integrates reading promotion with education and professional development to help residents acquire new skills and knowledge.
