Polish pensions transferred to Germany total 800 million PLN in 2025

In 2025 the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) paid more than 800 million złoty in pension and disability benefits to recipients in Germany. The average monthly transfer to the western neighbour was 2 227.49 złoty per payment, with roughly 30 000 individual payments each month, amounting to 29 939 benefits sent to Germany per month.

Overall, ZUS disbursed about 102 887 foreign pension payments each month, totalling over 2.5 billion złoty to all EU destinations. While the largest number of payments went to Germany, the highest average amounts were sent to countries such as Portugal, Malta and Cyprus. The data were published in ZUS’s quarterly report on international benefit transfers.
