Polish players reach semifinals and upset favorite at European tennis tournaments

Polish tennis player Zuzanna Bednarz earned a surprise victory over higher‑ranked Turkish competitor Cagla Buyukakcay at the ITF W100 event in Amstetten, Austria, winning 7‑6(4), 3‑6, 6‑2. Bednarz, ranked 861 in the WTA rankings, advanced after a hard‑fought three‑set match.

In Prague, Poland's Weronika Falkowska, teamed with American Alana Smith, progressed to the semifinals of the WTA 250 tournament. The duo defeated the pair of Hao‑Ching Chan and Miyu Kato 6‑1, 6‑2, securing a place among the final four. Fellow Polish player Martyna Kubka, playing with Nadiya Kiczenok, was eliminated in the opening round.
