Polish police clarify overtaking rules for agricultural machinery

Polish police have issued a clarification regarding traffic laws as agricultural activity increases during the autumn season. Drivers are reminded that overtaking a tractor on a double solid line is strictly prohibited, regardless of the vehicle's speed.

While regulations may allow certain tractors to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h by March 2026, the rules for overtaking remain unchanged. Crossing or driving on a double solid line is a violation. This applies even to slow-moving vehicles, which are defined as machines with a maximum design speed of 25 km/h, such as certain combines or specialized equipment.
