Polish Police conclude national patrol and kynology championships

The Polish Police recently concluded two major professional competitions: the National Patrol Officers Championships (Patrol of the Year) and the 23rd Police Kynology Championships.

The Patrol of the Year tournament featured various disciplines, including police interventions with first aid, subduing techniques, pursuit runs, situational shooting, and knowledge tests. The Białystok Provincial Police Command emerged as the overall team winner, with officers Jakub Dzitowski and Kamil Trąbka taking first place in the general classification.

The Kynology Championships, held at the Police Kynology Department in Sułkowice to mark its 70th anniversary, focused on service dog handlers specializing in detecting narcotics and explosives. Competitors faced challenges involving obedience, scent work, and practical skills in environments simulating real-world duties, such as searching vehicles and mass transit. The event included participants from the Polish Police, Border Guard, State Protection Service, Military Gendarmerie, Prison Service, and National Revenue Administration, as well as officers from the Czech and Lithuanian police forces.
